Welcome to the Land of Legendary Adventure

    ♦ 30% advanced | ■ 45% intermediate | ● 25% beginner.

Hailed as the #1 ski resort in the United States by the Wall Street Journal in 2023, Palisades Tahoe (formerly Squaw Valley) is known for its 6,000 acres of uninterrupted legendary terrain. You don't have to choose between the high-octane energy and legacy of Palisades or the laid-back but adventurous vibe at Alpine. You have the ability to create your own adventure at these two distinctly different, neighboring mountains. Situated beside Lake Tahoe, it is more than a mountain destination. For years, skiers and riders have been forced to make a tough decision between the steeps, glades, and 3,600 skiable acres at Palisades or the down-home vibe, expansive bowls and hidden hike-to boundaries of Alpine. As of 2023, with the Base to Base Gondola, you no longer have to choose. The two base areas are connected providing easy, uninterrupted access to unique and varied terrain and it’s impressive 400 inches of annual snowfall. Choose from one of three enclosed lifts to access higher elevations. Palisades Tahoe is the only ski resort in North America with a Gondola, a Funitel, and an Aerial Tram. Climb thousands of vertical feet and take in the breathtaking sights of the Sierra during the 16-minute journey. On the ride up, delight in the sweeping views of Granite Chief Wilderness, Lake Tahoe, and Palisades Tahoe s legendary peaks.

Renowned for its world-class dining, efficient transit, and vibrant culture, Tokyo offers an endlessly fascinating mix of innovation, style and Japanese charm. We’ll spend our first evening here preparing for our exciting adventure the next day via coach transfer to Hakuba Valley for 6 nights. We’ll then return to TOKYO for 3 additional nights via SHINKANSEN, Japan’s famous “Bullet Train”. Few experiences in Japan feel quite as iconic as boarding the Shinkansen. Sleek, punctual, whisper-quiet, and astonishingly fast, Japans bullet trains have become a symbol of the countrys engineering excellence and attention to detail.  We’ll enjoy a half day city tour when we return and local lunch before checking into our Tokyo Hotel. You’ll have 2 full days to explore this amazing city on your own before returning home or continuing on to Kyoto!

    OPTIONAL TOUR

KYOTO Kyoto is the soulful heart of Japan—a city where ancient traditions and refined beauty are woven seamlessly into everyday life. Once the imperial capital for over a thousand years, KYOTO is renowned for its extraordinary collection of over 1,600 temples and shrines, each offering a glimpse into Japans rich cultural and spiritual heritage. From the golden splendor of Kinkaku-ji to the iconic vermilion gates of Fushimi Inari Taisha, Kyoto invites visitors into a world of timeless elegance. The historic district of Gion enchants with its narrow streets, traditional wooden machiya houses, and the chance to glimpse a geiko or maiko gracefully passing by. Seasonal beauty defines Kyotos rhythm—cherry blossoms paint the city in soft pink hues each spring starting at the end of March, so it’s possible we could experience the wonder of Kyoto during Cherry Blossom Season!
