  Jackson Hole, Wyoming is what the West is all about. Cowboys still saddle up their horses before dawn to tend to chores, and wild elk, bison and moose still roam the land. The town of Jackson is like a scene out of an old western movie, with wooden plank sidewalks, old-time stagecoach stops, elk antler arches adorning the town square and plenty of wild west saloons. Jackson is full of great shops, fine art galleries and a variety of restaurants and watering holes. Then there’s the skiing. Although best known for its vertical drop of over 4,000 feet, Jackson Hole is also legendary for powder runs, breathtaking views and terrain to suit everyone. There are 2,500 acres of slopes and runs, and that doesn’t include the back country. When not skiing or enjoying the town, you can snowshoe into Grand Teton National Park, snowmobile into Yellowstone National Park, swim the Granite Hot Springs, or view the incredible National Elk herd on a sleigh ride.

  Experience skiing in the highest point of the Dolomites, part of the Italian Alps, one of the starting points for the world-famous Sellaronda ski tour. It is known as Winter Paradise, located at the heart of a beautiful natural landscape, a picturesque valley surrounded by the Dolomite Mountain range, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Easy walk fr hotel to access one starting point, then free ski bus to two close by villages for other starting points. VG is a quintessential alps village, very European, full of charm, with street cafes, handcrafted shops and bars. Staying 7 nights at the Oswald Hotel since 1896 (pictured below), elegant with old world charm and centrally located. Spacious carved wood appointed rooms. Includes full breakfast buffet daily and 6 dinners; whirlpool, steam bath, sauna & massages. Will also include full day guided ski tours at a drastically discounted price.   POST SKI TOUR - Sunday 15th, moving to Verona for a guided tour & overnight stay. Continuing to LaSpezia for three nights with stops in Emilia Romagna (land of motors) and Parma (prosciutto tasting). Next day, full day guided tour of Cinque Terre by train, a five-cliff coastal fishing village w/brightly painted homes on the Ligurian sea, part of the Med. This is a world-famous natural hiking area, another UNESCO site. Another full day guided tour of Santa Margherita Ligure & Portofino. Then wrapping up in Milan with a guided tour and overnight at the Sheraton airport hotel

  PERSONAL TESTIMONY: best European skiing I’ve experienced, groomed, wide, long runs. Certainly, with options of more challenging runs higher up. It’s possible to ski a week or more without doing the same run twice, it is gigantic with walkable starting point options from VG & free/easy ski bus to two other nearby villages each with multiple entry points per village. The villages are small yet full of charm. Oswald Hotel is quite lovely, with a large glassed-in balcony bar area overlooking town for gathering. Convenient ski storage rm, elegant Dining Room with delicious meals. Indeed, it is mostly a SKI town, yet even as a skier I could be happy hanging out in the many cafes, gazing up at the amazing views. Plus, lower trail areas for hiking & snow shoeing. The food is fabulous & served with flare. And dogs, dogs, dogs everywhere for lots of loving!
