Experience France from skiing the glorious French Alps, moving on to Lyon for history & culinary delights, then wrap up the trip on the French Rivera of the Mediterranean Sea in Nice. Start with skiing in world renown Chamonix Mont Blanc (highest summit in the alps). We will stay in Chamonix Valley surrounded by four ski areas included with one ski pass, these ski/ride areas are considered to be the best FREERIDE (off piste) in the world. Lift Pass is Mont Blanc Unlimited (everything inside the RED line below), Brevent-Flegere, LesGrand Montets, Domaine de Balme/Le Tour, Domaine des Houches & Aiguille Du Midi Glacier, all accessible by the shuttle which picks up 50 yards outside our Alpina Eclectic Hotel, a brightly lit, contemporary hotel. Day trips for non-skiers to Annecy, Courmayeur, Evian & Yvoire Valley (medieval village on the French side of Lake Geneva), Montreux & Chillon Castle. A must do for SKIERS AND NON-SKIERS is to ride the cable cars up 12,605’ to Aiguille-du-midi viewing platform & for Skiers/Boarders, with a guide, the starting point for Vallee-blanche all day, no lifts, off pieste, amazing natural powder INTERMEDIATE ski/ride experience.

After Chamonix we will head to Lyon, which is at the junction of Rhone and Saone rivers, a city reflecting 2,000 years of history with Roman & Renaissance architecture to today's modern architecture. Walking tour with a guide is included. Options for River cruise or electric bike rental. Museums & Cathedrals.

Then end our adventure traveling from the steep & snowy French Alps to the elegant tranquility of the world-famous French Riviera on the Mediterranean Sea at Nice. Travel by coach with a lunch stop in Provence, known for its food and wine (lunch on your own).  We will have an included all-day guided tour of Nice & Cannes, home of the International Film Festival, w/sandy beaches, upmarket boutiques & palatial hotels.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: All U. S. Citizens participating in this tour program are required to have a U. S. Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the return date of the tour (September 30, 2023).  The Airlines will not let you board the aircraft if your passport is EXPIRED OR WILL BE EXPIRING WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF YOUR SCHEDULED RETURN FLIGHT.

CURRENT COVID POLICY for France – a Travel Certificate required & is issued upon presentation of ONE of the following:

• digital proof of vaccination certificate showing full vaccination (Kathryn can help you obtain this digital record closer to trip date if still required.)
• A document of recovery from COVID-19.
• Unvaccinated travelers are still required to present a negative test result to enter France, but the measures upon arrival (test, isolation) have been lifted when they arrive from a “green” country (USA) where there is limited circulation of the virus.
