    • Retro Cycles, 1810 N Orange Ave, Orlando, FL

Saturday, Dec 5th – Christmas light bicycle ride beginning at Retro Cycles on Orange Avenue in Ivanhoe Row. We will take a ride through Ivanhoe Village and College Park to take in the great light displays. Ride will be about 6 miles at a casual pace, all bikes welcome! Don't forget to decorate your bike!

Retro Cycles is again teaming up with One Heart for Women and Children, to help bring Christmas to those who might not otherwise be able to celebrate. Here are some suggestions on items the One Heart family could use:

    - Jackets and hoodies - again used are great and much appreciated!
    - Bicycles
    - $5-10 gift cards for Wal-Mart or Target
    - Unwrapped toys
    - Present for a teen or tween (the teens are the ones that so often get left out)

Please bring your donation into Retro City Cycles before the ride!

Thank you for celebrating the holidays with the Orlando Ski and Travel Club and Retro City Cycles family, and for helping bring happier holidays to those in our local community!

Hosted by Amy McClurg & Kathryn Hardage

Marvel at ancient wonders and modern culture during this once in a lifetime trip. Check Machu Picchu off your bucket list!  Immerse yourself in Peru!

    Lima

Along the Pacific coast of Peru lies Lima, a cosmopolitan capital city and anachronistic melting pot of Spanish Colonial architecture built directly over ancient Incan foundations. We’ll discover some of the country’s best museums, churches, historic plazas and bustling shopping areas—including a private tour of the famously yellow Baroque Church of San Francisco.  We’ll also visit the Archaeological Museum, which offers an overview of Peru’s fascinating history, from its superb array of Incan artifacts to impressive collections of ceramics, gold, and textiles.

    Machu Picchu

Never found by the Spanish conquistadors, Machu Picchu was known only to local people until Yale professor Hiram Bingham was led to the ruins in 1911 and described it for the world in his book The Lost City of the Incas. Located on a mountaintop 8,000 feet above sea level   in the Peruvian Andes, the city was built with residential, military, and religious areas. Our small group will visit the spectacular ruins twice, allowing us for a deeper exploration of the site after the crowds are gone. We’ll witness the Intihuatana (a sundial-like megalith), the Temple of the Sun, and the Room of the Three Windows in Machu Picchu’s Sacred District.

    Cuzco & the Sacred Valley

With an elevation of 10,900 feet, Cuzco is literally (and figuratively) breathtaking. The Inca called it the “navel of the world,” as it was the center of their universe and the premiere city in their culture. The ancients may be gone now, but they left behind an abundance of remarkable ruins in the towering Andean peaks and deep within Sacred Valley. We’ll discover Cuzco’s ancient sites, explore modern Andean culture with a visit to Chinchero, a weaving village high in the mountains, as well as take a rafting trip the Urubama River and a train ride through the Sacred Valley.

PRICE INCLUDES: Includes international airfare / airport transfers/ government taxes / fees and airline fuel charges, all land transportation and 2 internal flights, accommodations for 10 nights, 24 meals (daily breakfast, 8 lunches and 6 dinners – including 1 home-hosted lunch), 6 small group activities, gratuities for local guides / drivers / luggage porters, exploring in a small group of 16 people!

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Not appropriate for travelers using wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility aids.  You must be able to walk 3 miles unassisted and participate in 6-8 hours of physical activity each day.  We reserve the right to restrict participation, or in some circumstances send travelers home, if their limitations impact the group’s experience.  Altitude - 7 full days at altitudes between 7,000 – 12,000 feet.

PACKAGE PRICE:    $4,749 per person.  Price based on 2 people in a hotel room.
