Our journey aboard the Scenic Eclipse through Iceland was nothing short of extraordinary -our group of 38 experienced a blend of adventure, luxury, and unforgettable camaraderie! From the dramatic landscapes of Grundarfjörfur, İsafjörur, Akureyri, Dynandi and even skimming the ice shelf along the coast of Greenland, each excursion revealed a different side of Iceland's raw beauty. We stood in awe before the magnificent cascading waterfall known as the Jewel of the Westfjords, explored volcanic terrain, ventured deep into fjords that felt untouched by time, as well as venturing down 35M to the "Center of the Earth" in Vatnshellir to name a few.
What set this experience apart was how we explored it-by land, sea, and sky. Zodiac tours brought us up close to rugged coastlines and wildlife, whale watching had us braving wind and cold for those elusive sightings (we saw at least 3!), while helicopter rides lifted us above glaciers and mountains for breathtaking panoramic views few ever get to witness.
Life onboard was just as wonderful. Scenic Eclipse delivered truly world-class accommodation & service, as well as unique culinary experiences with specialty dining that spanned the globe - from refined French cuisine to vibrant Asian flavors, Filipino dishes, Indian specialties, gourmet burgers, pizza, pasta and more. Every meal felt like a new destination - and a threat to our scales back home!
But beyond the scenery and indulgence, it was the people who made the journey unforgettable. Shared experiences tumed into new friendships & lasting friendships, with laughter and connection woven into every day.
