| | | President's Message Happy New Year to all Orlando Ski and Adventure Travel Club members! Our first ski trip of this Winter Season was in early December to Whistler Canada, and it was fabulous! Our group felt like true family as we met each day for Après ski, relaxed in the hot pools or passed each other in the lobby of the Chateau. Both the Fairmont and the entire walking village were decorated beautifully for the Holidays. We experienced a Wonderful Snowy Christmas Wonderland! On Wednesday December 13th we held our Christmas Party at the Winter Park Hilton Garden Inn and it was an absolute blast! More than 175 record-breaking people attended the Party and celebrated the Holiday together with the liveliest dance floor I’ve witnessed since Lake Louisa Cabin weekend! Our club members came together and raised $1,798 that we have donated to Toys for Tots on your behalf. Thank you, again, to those members who invited their friends and neighbors to check out our club at the Christmas Party! Your next opportunity to invite people who you think will enjoy our activities and possibly our trips will be at the January 2024 monthly social on Wednesday January 17th at 6pm. This January social will be held in Maitland just off I-4 at An Tobar Irish Pub. Both January and February Socials will be held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month rather than our usual 2nd Wednesday. Pay close attention to our last call ski trip opportunities listed below. Our deadlines have arrived, and we must wrap up our signup process now. Most of you are preparing soon to leave on your planned club trip, so I wish you happiness in nature. One thing I personally look forward to is the peace and quiet I feel when gliding down a run or riding the ski lift. Happy New Year!! I wish you all great prosperity in 2024!
