President's Message

Hello Orlando Ski & Adventure Travel Club members! 

All of your club’s board members have recently met in person and put their heads together for new ideas. They are utilizing their particular skill sets to contribute to maintaining this wonderful club and improving wherever possible. One thing you may have noticed is that the club’s website has a fresh new look on the main landing page that hopefully makes the website a little easier to navigate, especially from a mobile perspective. 

The event committee for the September 10th - 12th Lake Louisa Cabin Weekend in Clermont has also met in recent weeks and created a Super Fun itinerary of activities. This event is open for all club members and potential club members! Just show up at Lake Louisa State Park on Saturday or Sunday and participate in as many planned activities as you wish. Find us near the lakefront cabin #8 at the below mentioned times. I hope to see you out there in early September as it’s going to be a blast!

    • 7:30am - Road Biking with Kenny Krumins & Gunther Zurstadt, distance TBD
    • 7:30am - Paved Biking with Kathryn Hardage, 12 miles
    • 9:30am - Hiking with Jackie Warren, 4 miles
    • 11:30am - Kayaking with Steve Clark & Steve McClurg (recreational & fishing)
    • 4:30pm - Paved Biking with Steve Clark, 7 miles
    • 7:00pm - Sunset Hiking with Jackie Warren, 2 miles
    • 9:00pm - Pub Crawl
  • Sunday September 12th
    • 9:00am - Hiking with Jackie Warren, 6 miles
    • 10:30am-11:30am - Guided Horseback Riding with Kathryn Hardage (guided by staff). If you are interested in this activity you will need to reserve your spot here: https://lakelouisastatepark.com/. Cost is $63 per person.

Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind is one of 2 charities that both this club and Florida Ski Council support each year. They are planning to take a group of students to Whitefish Montana on a life-changing ski trip. They have made a request for your help regarding the students’ wish list

OSTC September Social!

Join us Wednesday, September 8th from 6pm to 8:30pm for our next get-together! This round we'll be meeting at Hannibal's On The Square, located in Winter Park!

This establishment is a local favorite that's sure to be a great time, so come out and enjoy with your fellow OSTC friends! Light hors d'oeuvres will be served and a full bar is available for your preference of libation. Parking is available on the street.
