Hello SOCIALS ARE BACK, CHECK BELOW IN NEWSLETTER | | | Mother Nature has made it known that spring has sprung. With the beautiful weather this time of year, don’t’ you feel more energized? I am so excited that we can now safely start back having our socials and outdoor events. Our first social this year, at the Sanford Brewing Company, was well attended and it seemed like an eternity since we were together - so nice to see everyone. This month we will be hosting our social at another great location, the Café Murano in Altamonte Springs who boasts the cardinal rule of Italian cuisine-- “eat locally and eat seasonally”. Let’s see what Robin has in store for us this time! Also, in April, Amy McClurg is planning an “Adventure up the Trees!” Join Amy on Saturday, April 24, at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens, Sanford, for an aerial adventure. Swing from trees, tackle obstacles throughout the ropes course, soar on zip lines, and challenge your body and mind. On May 12th we will be holding the OSTC elections on the patio at Teak Bar and Grill in Maitland. I am very happy to report that we have multiple applications on the ballot. As you know, it takes volunteers to run our club and we need you! Please take the time to review their individual club bios of each of the current contenders posted on www.orlandoskiclub.com. The Nominating Committee will continue to take applications for elected officers until April 27th, 2021. Your vote is important as our officers ultimately help provide the direction of our club. If you have not renewed your membership, now is the time, as you must be a current paid member to vote. Don’t forget to save the date – the second annual membership drive picnic will be at Wekiva Island on May 23, 2021. Last year we had a fantastic turnout. Not only do you get to see friends, have lunch, and explore the waterway canoeing, OSTC will announce the upcoming ski trips and local planned activities that day. I look forward to all the opportunities in April and May to see one another. Please stay safe and I hope you and your family enjoy a very Happy Easter. Rhonda Ulmer President

Marvel at ancient wonders and modern culture during this once in a lifetime trip. Check Machu Picchu off your bucket list! Immerse yourself in Peru! In Lima, we’ll discover some of the country’s best museums, churches, historic plazas and bustling shopping areas— including a private tour of the famously yellow Baroque Church of San Francisco. From there we fly to breathtaking Cuzco where we’ll discover Cuzco’s ancient sites, explore modern Andean culture with a visit to Chinchero, a weaving village high in the mountains, as well as take a rafting trip the Urubama River and a train ride through the Sacred Valley. From there, we head to Machu Picchu. Located on a mountaintop 8,000 feet above sea level in the Peruvian Andes, the city was built with residential, military, and religious areas. Our small group will visit the spectacular ruins twice, allowing us for a deeper exploration of the site after the crowds are gone. We’ll witness the Intihuatana (a sundial-like megalith), the Temple of the Sun, and the Room of the Three Windows in Machu Picchu’s Sacred District.
