RGreetings from Big Sky, Montana where 50 Orlando Ski and Travel Club trippers are having a fab week! I am so honored & proud to announce ORLANDO has once again won the coveted GOLD cup for the fastest racers in the Florida Ski Council! Second year in a row, OSTC rocks!!!
In addition, we won Fastest Male on the Mountian! Plus we won First Place in a video contest, scripted by our creative genius Trip Leader & performed by 20+ trippers. Watch for notice of celebration with all our Membership, to be announced!
Peak Ski/Board season is upon us! OSTC has also already completed our Pre-Holiday early season ski/board trip to Aspen where they received unseasonable amounts of wonderful white fluffy powder! This is the PURRfect trip annually for an early ski without huge crowds while also soaking in the Holiday spirit of the beautifully decorated resorts! Plan now to join us next year in Banff, British Columbia where we’ll stay in a castle!
Soon our Crested Butte trip will be headed to the mountains, followed by Park City then Telluride. Ski season ends with OSTC’s International trip to Cortina, Italy. As I stated last month, LIFE HAPPENS, cancellations occur…
SIGN UP FOR WAIT LIST NOW!
OSTC has a fun LOCAL event on Sat, Feb 9th at Lakeridge Winery in Lake County. It’s an all-day outside music and wine fest, how can it get any better? Come join us, look for OSTC signs, bring a lawn chair!

Personally, I’ve just returned from Zermatt, Switzerland, where I participated in a FAM (familiarization) Trip. The purpose is to view lodging, ski the ski mountain, inspect various venues for party locations and generally determine if the resort seems appropriate for OSTC. I determined it WILL be an exciting trip destination with excellently groomed skiing under the world renown Matterhorn while offering day excursions which are reasonably close to the ski area for the non-skiers. We’ll stay in a charming Swiss village with unique restaurants & bars, great for skiers/boarders and touring!
I’m sharing this as I am excited to be a Trip Leader, I find it personally rewarding. Yes, there is work involved in planning and organizing; yet, how wonderful an opportunity to be able to take 30-50 other persons to destinations which perhaps they would never visit on their own. Be it Int’l or Domestic!
YOUR club needs you! We need NEW Trip Leaders, persons who like to have fun, see new places and share them with your closest friends! It’s personally rewarding and always FUN on the trip!
Other reps from the club are taking FAM trips also to destinations such as Red Mt, British Columbia; Schweitzer, Idaho; Mammoth, CA & Mt Bachelor, OR. If destination is selected, they too will in-turn lead a future trip to the destination. You TOO could have this opp to visit resorts, then organize a trip to share with your OSTC friends, while also making new friends! The club does offer training thru assisting first, plus we have a trip credit compensation plan for Trip Leaders & Assistants.
Please GET INVOLVED, volunteer, we’d love to have your new ideas! Get your feet wet leading a local Happy Hour Event; or, a bike ride on a local riding trail; lunch at a new restaurant; or any adventure which tweaks your interest!
Let me hear from you as to your ideas & interest! Looking forward to receiving your emails!!!
