President's Message

Talk about fun.good golly Miss Molly (yes, she was there too)did we OSC rafters have a BLAST! In four days we packed in two weeks of activities…we never stopped…from touring Ruby Falls to dinner cruise on the Tennessee River, bar hoping downtown Chattanooga to ducky rafting on the Hiawassee, hiking VERTICAL path for sunset view after sunset (CRAZY) to white water rafting with guides the Ocoee and much much more…oh my the fun never stopped!!

Thank you to Pat Murray for your knowledge and experience to help Steve Clark organize the PURRfect trip! Thank you Steve, Snow Dog Mackey & Gunther Zurstadt for safely driving eternal twist and turns six million times!  Stay tuned...we’re already talking about doubling the adventure for next summer! Plus, perhaps a Colorado SUMMER trip, how does that sound?

For more FUN & good exercise.... OSC learns to play PICKLEBALL! What a hoot! Join us on theindoor courts on Sunday, September 18th, more details at http://www.meetup.com/skiing-96/events/233360977/.Check out the calendar for tennis too!

Next for SKI & SNOW BOARDING FUN….soon OSC will be hitting the slopes! Start getting those quads ready NOW! Starting with along weekend luxury pre-holiday trip to Aspen; followed by two Florida Ski Council trips, first to US Rockies for Beaver Creek, second to Canadian Rockies for Banff & Lake Louise! And in between those two, we’ll hit the slopes in the old west at Telluride and in the lap of luxury with the movie stars in Sun Valley! In early March we’ll spend 11 days in Japan. What…skiing in Japan???You betcha and the good soft fluffy powder we all long for! Then we’ll end our OSC ski/board season as we always do with the Magical Mindy tour to Big Sky! Oh my…how does one choose? How ‘bout multiples?

Join us at Winter Park Ale House on Wednesday, September 14th for more trip sign ups, hurry as space is limited! Some trips only have one or two spots available! We’ll be drawing FOUR names for $100 Trip Credits….you may be next in line! Must have paid Trip Deposit and current paid member to be eligible.

As a reminder, you can’t buy happiness but you can buy a lift ticket!

See you on the 14th! Think snow, Kathryn
