President:
OSTC Vice President (for past 5 years), Board Member, Trip Selection Committee Chairman, Marketing, Experienced Trip Leader to locations such as – Aspen, Colorado – Banff, Canada – Vail, Colorado – Rafting Ocoee, Tennessee, Las Vegas – Hiking, Whitefish, Montana – Dude Ranch Trip, Sun Valley, Idaho, Queenstown New Zealand.
1st VP:
I am a member in good standing, have served on the OSTC Board of Directors as Secretary for 2 consecutive years as well as Travel Committee for 2 years. I also served as Assistant Trip Leader to Crested Butte and led a FSC trip to Aspen/Snowmass.
2nd VP:
I am very interested in continuing to volunteer as 2nd VP. I have been involved in OSTC--during this time, I've grown to understand more about the workings of the club and council. Unfortunately this past year we had to navigate COVID-19, so there wasn't the opportunity to plan many local activities. I enjoy organizing and participating in local activities with my group of friends, and am looking forward to expanding the activities for the OSTC once we have enough of a comfort level to do so.
Secretary:
I am interested in the position of Secretary to further my contributions to the OSTC. My position as “Program Director” for the last 2 years on my membership has been a pleasure. After years of detailed work with contracts and negotiations, plus organizing events, I feel I can apply my experience to the position of “Secretary” for OSTC.
I’m interested in joining the board of directors as Secretary because I love OSTC. I’ve worked with Sandy on marketing for over a year to learn more about the club. Then I became membership director for the last several months and learned some more aspects of leadership in the club. I have been a trip leader on one trip to Breckenridge and hope to lead more trips in the future once the Covid restrictions get easier! I know I have a lot more to learn about how the club is run but I feel the best way to do that is to stay very involved. Skiing is a passion of mine and I love spreading that passion around to others.
As a long standing member of the OSTC, and previously as a member of the Snow Skiers and Snow Boarders of Orlando Club, I am interested in expanding my participation and running for Secretary. I have enjoyed skiing since I was able to walk and have been a participant in many of the club’s organized trips over the years. I truly enjoy the comradery and community the club has to offer. I am interested in running for the open Secretary seat for the upcoming year and feel my love of skiing, travel, and organizational skills make me a great fit to join the leadership team., I am task oriented, organized and have a strong attention to details. I pride myself in my communication skills and my ability to stay on task. I am great at following through on timelines and keeping meetings running smoothly. I am comfortable complying with the club’s needs for this role and any other duties as assigned. I look forward to joining the team and becoming a more active member in the club.
Member since 2010; attended multiple trips and events each year; no history of financial issues with OSTC; assistant trip leader for multiple ski & adventure trips, including international; history of supporting other trip leaders and Board; trip survey manager; travel committee member; personal time becoming more available after “life simplification” efforts allows me to spend more time on things I like, such as OSTC. If selected I will perform the Secretary work to the best of my abilities. I know the standards and expectations of this position and will strive to exceed them.
Treasurer:
I am interested in, and am qualified for, the above-designated office for the following reasons: Have held the treasurer role for the Club for several years. Also volunteer treasurer for other organizations. CFO for Escapology LLC and a CPA. Trip Leader for Club and attend all social functions that don’t conflict with travel, work, or other organizations.
